Dave Haney
Lead Pastor
Pastor Dave Haney has served as Lead Pastor at Hoboken Church since December 2015. Prior to this role, he spent a decade in Youth Ministry and currently serves as a TA with Redeemer CMP. He earned both his B.A. and M.S. in Bible from Cairn University, where he met his wife, Becky. Dave also completed the Urban Ministry Certificate through the Redeemer City Ministry Program (CMP) and is a Certified Coach with Forge America. He is passionate about urban ministry and enjoys spending time with his family, exploring NYC, hiking, and experiencing Hoboken’s food scene.
Chelsea Mesa
Office Administrator
Chelsea keeps things running smoothly at Hoboken Church, handling volunteer scheduling, communication, and day-to-day operations. She’s passionate about helping others stay connected and ensuring everything is set for Sunday Gatherings. Outside of the office, Chelsea enjoys spending time with her husband, Emanuel, and reading.

Elder
Steve serves on the leadership board at Hoboken Church. Professionally, he is a professor of Business at Stevens Institute of Technology, where he researches finance and technology. He brings his gifts of wisdom, teaching, and stewardship to the church, desiring to see people grow in both faith and practical life.
Ethan Dy Tioco

Ethan moved to Jersey City in 2024 to be closer to Hoboken Church and has enjoyed the nearness with the community. He is eager to be guided as a leader in training to support the pastor and the church body.
Ethan is an avid fan of emo, pop-punk, and metal music, and will often organize groups to go out to karaoke.

Emanuel Mesa
Treasurer
As the finance treasurer at Hoboken Church, Emanuel helps steward our community’s financial resources with transparency and care. He serves because he believes in the mission & values of the church and wants to support its growth in a meaningful way.
Professionally, Emanuel works in innovation and strategy at Intapp, a technology company serving advisory and investment firms, and he is also the co-founder of an education technology startup focused on making learning fun and accessible. Emanuel lives in Hoboken with his wife, Chelsea, and their cat, Glinda.
