Who We Are
MOPS Hoboken was started in 2018 by a group of local moms who wanted to provide the opportunity for moms to connect with one another in an authentic way. Here at Hoboken MOPS, we gather and support moms. We believe in the simple but revolutionary idea that remarkable things happen when moms come together.
What We Do
MOPS encourages and equips moms of young children to realize their potential as mothers, women and leaders, in relationship with Jesus, and in partnership with the local church. We meet twice a month to encourage one another and to talk about real life experiences that every mom faces.
Why You Belong
MOPS Hoboken welcomes you in whatever stage of motherhood you are in. Whether you are expecting your first child or your youngest is heading to Pre-k for the first time, you are welcome here. We know that motherhood is full of ups and downs and having community to walk through each stage is an incredible gift. Being part of Hoboken MOPS is a place for lifelong connections.
All The Things
We know that coming to a new group for the first time can be overwhelming. Here are a few details to hopefully ease some of your nerves. Most importantly, we want you to come as you are.
What To Expect
When you arrive there will be a time to hangout and catch up with the other moms. There will be a time of discussion based on the topic for that day. We will have a few prepackaged grab and go snacks and bottled drinks. We encourage you to grab your favorite coffee on the way and don't forget a picnic blanket!! We usually close our time together wishing there was more time!
Children are welcome!! Childcare is available for an additional fee for those little ones who are actively walking. Children will be dropped off at Hoboken Free Church (9th and Clinton) in the fenced outdoor courtyard for a time of play. Children of all ages are welcome to stay with you if you prefer.
We ask that if you are attending that you register with MOPS International. The cost for registering is $32.00. Use Code BI37 (I as in ICE). Registering gives you direct access to some incredible resources and links you to our Hoboken MOPS group. Once you are registered, you are all set to join us. If the cost is a burden for you and your family please let us know as scholarships are available.
This Week's Video
The theme for this year is "All For Love." Every week we encourage you to watch the video linked below before we meet. We will use this video series to guide our discussion each week. The video for November 19th, is titled, "Feeling the Feelings: Coping with Loss" with Kimberly Britt. We must give ourselves permission to feel all of our feelings. As we walk through pain and loss, we find purpose and meaning in our struggles and our capacity for joy and peace grows.
